- January through March was kind of uneventful. I took Arthurian Literature for my Jan term class and needless to say it was quite interesting. During that class I met two very special people (Sarah and Megan) who are now my best friends. Needless to say, Sarah and I hit it off so well that we are now roommates this year. February brought Valentine's Day and a nice date from Zach as well as Zach and I's 2 year anniversary.
- March brought nicer weather and a Spring Break trip that my family, Zach, and I thoroughly enjoyed. We traveled down to Tennessee and enjoyed 5 days there. We rented a cabin in the mountains right smack dab in the middle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed many of the fun festivities there including the NASCAR Go-Kart park, walking the strip in Gatlinburg, exploring Ripley's Aquarium, enjoying a great dinner and show at the Dixie Stampede (where we also had a fun and enjoyable waiter), eating at Fudrucker's for the first time (which they have a-mazing hanburgers!) and many other things. Our cabin had an outdoor hot tub which we took advantage of and it was up a very steep hill which our brakes smoked coming down.
- April and May flew by and not much transpired. I finished up my last semester of Sophomore year and then started my summer job car hopping at Dick's Drive In.
- June brought some interesting events. First things first, Zach graduated high school and on June 4th and then went straight to college at the University of Northwestern Ohio on June 25th. He is going for Diesel and Automotive Technician and is enjoying it like crazy. (Couldn't possibly have anything to do with him living in an apartment with 5 other guys?) On June 29th my family and I had a house disaster. As a huge storm approached our home, it demolished our roof, and we had a monsoon inside the West side of our home. Mom and I were hauling out 5 gallon buckets every 5 minutes and laying towels down under the windowsills. We have been repairing it ever since.
- I car hopped from May until August when I went back to college to start my Junior year. I cannot believe I am a junior! I have been asking myself where my life has gone for the past 2 years now. I do not feel like I should be this old, I feel like I just started college!
- Every year I am always so excited for the holidays. This year, however, will be different. Since we had our house disaster, we have no Christmas decorations up, we do not have a real tree (we have my 3 foot tree from college up on an end table) we have not participated in all the family traditions we normally have and I will be flying out for Arizona in 2 weeks and 1 day. This holiday season will be very different for my family to say the least. I guess this just means I am growing up (No! I wanna stay small forever! Doesn't everyone say that?)
XOXO
